Dominated by Haleakalā, a 10,023-foot shield volcano, the island features dramatic elevation changes and diverse terrain. The scenic Hāna Highway winds through rainforests to the remote town of Hāna, while the north shore’s Peʻahi hosts some of the world’s biggest surfable waves.
